Welcoming Night ---> J-Gener@TioN

MMUCG had a superb Welcoming Night on 4th July 2007. The event was actually dedicated to all responsive freshies. We wanted to build strong relationship with them and slowly bring them to know Christ. Moreover, we also aimed to challenge existing members and visitors to take up more roles in serving the Lord.

Our goal was 20 people, including all the existing members. Praise the Lord that we did reach the target!

The Welcoming Night came with the title “J-Generation”. Basically we wanted to learn from all the mighty men in the bible whose name had the initial “J” , like Joshua, Joseph, etc.

Who says seniors like being BIG bully? The saying is not applicable to our Caregroup. Tell you what, our seniors here are all very adorable one. Maybe you’ve phobia during orientation week but hey, look here! See their posing, so cute! They are much friendlier than you could ever imagine.

The CG was amazing. Everyone jumped and danced along during the high praise! The house was too small to occupy so many people. We were overjoyed like kids and had our feet on dancing because GOD WAS and IS with us. You could expect accident happening here. There were 3 games led by Sheue Yun, Chee Yi and Jinnie. All very fun game. This was the time when you can see all the seniors "kiddy" around with the juniors.

J-Generation ended with refreshment. The refreshment were keropok lekor and green bean soup. The keropok lekor was brought all the way from Terengganu by Chiu Ling. Many love the keropok very much. Our 3 Chinese friends love the green bean soup very much. They said that they miss their mom’s cooking and they were so touched that they could drink the delicacy here. Thank God for Sister Erica’s feedback on the other week’s CG. The ‘tong sui’ strategy really works for outreach/follow up. Hehe.. ^.^

MMUCG, you all have done great job in outreach! Give yourself a BIG clap! Yay! The seeds are all here. Do persistant on watering so that the seeds will grow and become a plant and eventually see fruits bear. And don’t forget to keep the contacts in prayer, for we want to allow God to work within us. Amen!

I'm FREE! Easter Celebration

MMU Are Free!

Easter is the most important celebration for Christian. On this day, Jesus raised from the Dead, 3 days after He had been crucified. This is the day that He has proclaim VICTORY to everyone who believes on Him (John 3:16).

Sadly, a lot people are not able to know this truth and so we had our own outreach in MMU. I believe that everyone of us has the desired to go to reach out to your friends and families. For your info, God's purpose for us is to do mission and MISSION is a lifestyle. We could use whatever method for mission such as buying people food to eat, be a good and faithful friend, to help the needy and more.

Praise God for the past one week, We had been able to reach out more than 15 people, proclaiming Easter to them. The seed had been planted, let us believe God will grow it. Amen. Some of these people are still in contact with me and they're very open, smiling at me, talking to me and etc. The harvest is RIPE and is has been always ripe, yet the question is are we ready for this harvest? This is a good question.

Bro and Sis, as we are preparing for the next June First Year intake, let us ask God to prepare our heart for new and cute freshies to come in. Let us continue to believe God will add to our number. Amen.

MMUCG first fund raising project. Due to a large number of growth in OUR cg, our FINANCIAL expenses also started to increase. So where exactly did we spent our money on?

For this year of 2007, Our church has prepare a series of activities for us. All this activities are to help us grow more in Christ and help to nurture us, maturing us in our understanding and purpose in this life. SO, this activities are helping us. We had manage to raise more than Rm200, thanks to the team that we had consisting of Jinnie, Peck Charn, Alex and Sheen Yeen (The beSt PrOmoters). NOt only that we also want to give our gratitude to Sheue Yun and Jason who give us a booth for us. All this money is kept for safely in our cg bank. haha!

We thank God, We had our brother Alex, an expert navigator, who take all the navigation skills to bring us across the mountain and ocean to ENJOY the beautiful scenery of cameron. 14 HoUrs IN KL.....

The fiRE is there, The MoMenTum is accelerating!

MMUcg is growing rapidly! Halleluyah! Thank God that we have seen a growth of more than 3 times since the begining of the semester from 6people to now more than 18 people. Last sunday, the 7th Aniversary mark our record breaking as MMUcg for the first time reach the 16 people barrier for the very first time! Yeah! Let's celebrate! THe best part is that all of us are taking BUSs Yup! All 16 of us take bus from cyberjaya!

After the SERVICE we went for a movie in TimeSquare. Hai!@ Have the admit i'm OLD de... Couldn't keep up my pace with the YOUNG people! (Yes! I'm talking about all OF YOU YoUnG GEN PeOpLE!) The JaLaN- JaLaN in BukiT BinTanG ended at 8.30pm and we reach HoME around 10.00pm. Wow! Bravo EveryBoDy, We ArE OUT for 14 HoUrs... I beliEve EveryOne HaD a ReAlLy WonDerFUL tIme as we went out in a huge group together! I do enjoy to laughing, the fellowship with EverYone! Thank You Everyone for Such a Wonderful outing.

Awaken Camp 2006

Yo! yo! The GreAteST and CoOLeST CaMp EvErZz! We're able to see of a lot of new people(Freshies) joining us such as Khai Ling and Chia Hong, mmucg top mind power finalist which won the first prize in the final, adding Shueu Yun, mmucg top MoDeL which won the Best design. Not forgetting Vincent and Chee Yi who gives us a lot of cool and warm laughter! We had even a Nigerian to join us too, Amaka! Good JoB, Everyone!

I thank God for such a wonderful time as we come together to enjoy the fellowship among other Universities as well. Indeed, this is a good and fruitful time where friendship is build and cheerish throughout! Keep Up the SpIRiT! Amen!

Anew Camp 2005

Anew Camp...MoOOOoooOOoo~ We've been really 'anew'-ed and refreshed on the 1st nite after getting drenched by the heavy rain -__- keke.. Okiez, i should start from the start.. The varsity camp was held at Kuala S'gor(kawasan kelip-kelip!! very amazed by these words keke) from 26th to the 28th of August. We departed around 4pm+ then we spend around N hrs trying to find our way there.. Xiao Tien Tien was the driver, yea.. I didn't get to take the bus.. And to think at 1st i was saying that those who were going car were gonna miss all the fun.. Aiiihz~ Alrite.. this is where Xiao Tien Tien turned into the wrong way...The others who were in the car were Xiao Tsui Tsui, Xiao Charn Charn & Xiao Chear Chear wahahahah...

When we finally reached the place, we were under attack!! The Mos-Squad(mosquitoes Squad) was horrrrrrible! And they were really 'faithful'... they were with us throughout the whole camp >_< Anywayz, LATEr tht nite, and yes I mean wee hours.. we had our Survivor Nite..with ONLY ONE candle and they expect us to go into the jungle -_________- But it's a good thing actually, Issacharean got to see the leadership-ness in our Leader haha..

The next day we had 2 games.. 1st we had to build our dream house, the 2nd was i-dunno-how-to-explain-but-we-hafta-step-on-others'-balloon-game. The brothers were too VIOLENT!! there's a CERTAIN brother from MMUCG *grrrz!*.. superz duperz rulez-breakerz!.. keke..tried to burstz(read murderz!) my balloon with his hands! Referee Steward Pang mana mata lu!! After all these we had some free time to practise for our presentation for that nite.

That nite we had a jungle fiesta, baby! keke.. We enjoyed a tribal dance opening performed by the commitees.. And the MCs for that nite was Miao & Hebo Pung. He dressed like an aborigine but he was wearing a cowboy hat -_- Aipeng & I came to the conclusion that he was an aborigine who found a cowboy hat.. to make it sound simpler..imagine a monkey who found human belongings in the jungle and got all excited..wahahah.. after each village(consisted of 2 tribes) presented their sketches.. it's time for Praise & Worship the Lord~!~! Everybody were so energetic and hyper! keke.. The food was greatttt too! (yea..food is a MUST-MENTION to me..keke) One funny thing, after the jungle fiesta, we all had to move to the campsite, that's when u see all the sisters rushing to the bathroom.. hahaha u gotta be fast, seriously, if not u'll have to wait for a looong time, Just for the record, I was No.3 that nite wahahah..

The next day, which is also the last day of Anew Camp, we had our Sunday Service at the seminar room.. Then some of us headed for home while the rest went for sight-seeing(fireflies~) and seafood.. Speaking of seafood, my oh-so-thoughtful tribe leader has sent me this.. sienz diaoz -_-

Praise & Worship Concert '05

Everybody, give it up for our very own Praise & Worship Concert~ *clapz clapz* Personally, I've been looking forward to it since the very moment I heard about it! It was an awesome nite full of music and nth but music.. ermz, okay not exactly NTH..one of the sisters gave a testimony..

Now back to the concert, at first i felt kinda awkward cuz the room was soo bright.. But after they turned the lights down low *gigglez*, everything's alrite.. keke.. The whole room is flooded with a bunch of God's young people!! Seeing all of them immersing themselves completely into the music, jumping high & low and praising God is AWESOME!woohoo~ keke.. It reminds me of the other P&W concert i've attended in the past.. coooool! Just for the record, I've never jump this high in Hope Serdang haha..

On the nite of the concert, the haze problem was at its worst, my 'whole world' was practically grey in color!! It's glad to see that nth stops us from worshipping our Lord~ C'mon,our God's BIGGG, what is haze?? *lolz*

Malacca Outing>Pung's Convocation

We'll dedicate today to David Hebo Pung Tong Ter... Cuz it's his convocation, people!! He has finally graduated haha.. Okayz, Quiz of the day, How old is Ah Pung? wahahaha.. Anywayz, in case SOMEBODY might accuse me of being a paparazzi instead of reporting CG-related happeningz, I need to clarify why we should dedicate this little column to Pung.

1. He's the one who asked me to blog.
2. He's one of the very few ppl who visits this blog regularly AND LEAVES COMMENT 'consistently' hehe..
3. Last but not least,the trip to MMU Malacca's also some sort of outingz for the CG..

Okay, enough said. Let's get down to business.. keke.. We departed around I-forgot-the-time a.m. I tried to follow the talk-to-the-driver-rules but since Ah Loi was playing the part so all I did was to stay awake, eat (and share my chocolates too!!), enjoy the scenery(if there's any,that is), etc.. cant really rem what i did actually wahaha.. temporary loss of memory. Anywayz, the thing we did the most was to wait and wait and wait.. keke.. first, we waited at the hawker centre, then we shifted our HQ to MMU Malacca, and continued to wait. Why? cuz the BRAIN of the CG got lost on his way to MMU Malacca..haha

So, what do ppl normally do while waiting? Chatting? or maybe eating? Yea, we have done it all. But u see, we're the Hope NewGen ppl, so we gotta do sth unconventional and incredibly creative, rite? How unconventional, you may ask. Well, how about a haircut at a nearby salon? Unbelievable, yes i know, but somebody really did it and we've got 3 eye witnesses --> Charlotte, Ricky and I. We witnessed it during our private mmu-sight-seeing-trip, ricky brought us there!

After Pung's arrival, we spent some time taking pictures,hehe.. And undoubtedly, the centre of attraction was PUNG.......'s nephew!! haha.. He's sooo adorable!! Completely unlike Pung at all~ wahahaha..

Then, we went for food!! YEAAAH the cendol was niiiiiiice & the prawn mee wasnt that bad either..hehe.. see, all i can rem vividly is food..keke.. Oh, another thing that I rem.. we gave Pung a balloon, but I still dunno what creature the balloon is supposed to be? Ant? Spider? It doesnt really matter now cuz in the end I had accidentally distorted it into an alien & I was stoned when I realised I'd made a hole 'during the process'..SORRRRRY!!! >_<

CG> MMU-LKW Gathering

It was a special nite for the LUCT freshies.. After the whole MMU-Freshies-movement, it's finally the LUCT's turn! Hooray~! We had 2 ladies, Hwee Bey & Gels, and 3 gentlemen, Lee, Vincent and Chris with us. Okay, so most of us were total strangers before the gathering, but who cares? I mean, that's what the ice-breaker is for, yea? The ice breaker was to help us in memorizing each others' names.. it did work cuz u can really see people paying extra attention when the others were introducing themselves, hehe..This ice-breaker's so exciting that I even thought that it was the main game that nite. So when I got to know that there's actually another set of games after the video presentation, I was thrilled!

I never knew that win-lose-or-draw can be so much fun~ It's really amazing to see how well the members know each other.. I mean, seriously i couldn't make out most of the drawings, not even mine,haha.. It's such a pity that Aipeng didn't participate..I lurrrrrve her drawingz haha.. One of her masterpieces is pasted on my room's wall keke.. Oh yea.. and the Highlight of the nite --> Cowboy.. -____- If it wasn't for Puiyee, I guess that drawing would still remained as a mystery, wahaha..

Campus Revival Meeting '05

The Revival meeting was the biggest 'CG' i've ever been to! It's like a big gathering for students from universities like, MMU, LUCT, Uniten, UKM, UPM, TAR, and the list goes on! I believe most of us hardly have the chance to interact with ppl from other universities, yea? Well, throughout the nite we had ample time to interact with each other! Let's kick off with the games first. Mannnnnnn! That was the longest 'London Bridge' that I have ever seen! *lolz* The more the merrier indeed! By the way, just a small lil confession from me.. actually ermz, *ahemz* i was caught twice in the london bridge but I didn't turn myself in! Not only me, but there were others who did the same too..keke.. But then again, it's not like we're a bunch of cowardz or sth, the problem is, we were too considerate! See, the stage was not big enough for all of us, and we dun wanna be selfish or anything, so we gave others the chance to go on stage! *lolz*

Honestly speaking, I dun remember much of the happenings that nite, I juz felt that the time passed so quickly! I guess that means we really really had a great time huh? =) oh yea, there's one thing that i do remember --> the refreshment! I lurrrrrrrve the cookies! Absolutely deeeeleeeecious! Got me addicted to it! keke.. Oh yea, one more thing, we had 3 freshies and 3 visitors from LUCT that nite.. Altogether 6!! WUAHAHAHHAHAHHA As LUCT CG is still kinda new so this is like a never-happened-before-in-the-history-incident to us haha..

Freshie Night '05 > Whole lotta fun!

Ladies & gentlemen, at long last, I proudly present to you, our Freshie Nite 2005~!~! kekeke.. It was held on the 7th of July, and I'm writing this at 12 am, 8th of July. I'm still on time!!

Okiez, back to the Freshie Nite. Well,I must say it's totally fantastic! The freshiez are so adorable, haha.. We had a great time fellowshipping with one another throughout the whole night. Part of the creditz goes to the graceful chairladies duo, Dora -Aipeng and Fling. The lil activity they planned was a great start for us to get to know one another. The get-to-know-each-other-process continued during the game session. I vote the game session the best part of the night! wahaha.. I mean, how often do u get to stand aside and watch the others mimicking frogs, monkey etc? v(^O^)v

I like the song presentation as well, especially the part when all of us stood up and sang together~ *Warmz & Fuzzie feelingz*

Frankly speaking, we were sort of lack of manpower that night. So we're thankful that many people such as Ivan, KC + IMU CG and the other friends were willing to help!

Well, basically that's all for tonite.. This ain't laziness, all i can say is, i'm just not as talkative as the others, muahahahhaha

CG > Wonderful sharing time!

The attendance of tonight's CG is impressive as well. Ohh, and we have dear PinJen with us as well~! Havent seen her for a loooong time~ =) Apart from that, there are two "finally"s for tonight, first and foremost, I finally manage to post on time! *applausez* (in case you're wondering what am i talking about + i don't wish to cheat either, I always blog a few days after the events took place -_-). Secondly, we finally took our group photo!!! wahaha

Okayz, so what have we done tonight besides that? Well, basically it's still the usual routine, and of course we enjoy every moment of it. So, if it's just the usual stuff then why am i posting this? Actually, (besides Pung's reminder),what really triggers me to blog is the sharing session. It's slightly different from usual and it's special. This time, we are to discuss and evaluate our CG according to Acts 2:42-47. We get to discuss about how to improve our fellowship as well.

Honestly speaking, I have a great time during the discussion session. It's good to listen to one another, through this we get to know what's really on their minds. It's such a wonderful experience to see all the brothers and sisters sharing their views & problems without the fear of being judged. I think in a way this indicates that we have attained certain level of 'closeness' with one another =) Just like what our theme of Freshies' Nite 2005, 'Friendmily', suggests, we're a sweet combination of friends and family! Forever full of warmth, love and joy! Although conflicts do happen occasionally, but by God's grace we can overcome it all~!

Hmmz..*ahemz* I'd like to dedicate the last part of today's post to two person..! Dear Feiling~ The sandwiches for refreshment are yummy-licious!! keke.. You're the forever-reigning queen of culinary! =P Next, dear David-Mark-Pung aka Jumbo, Yo~ One Way 'rawwwkzz' man~!wahahahhahahaha even though most of us were unable to coordinate the movement of our hands and mouth smoothly.. -_- keke..

CG > Now, tht's wht I call BIGGGGGGG!!

The caregroup on the 22th of June was simply fabulous~! I've never seen such great number of people! In fact, not only me, but practically everyone I've 'interviewed' said the same thing. This is probably because many of the MMU students are back from their once-in-a-lifetime-superz-loooong holz. In addition to that, we had 1 temporary immigrant from Uniten, Guiwen, and also, 2 new visitors --> Reimy & Siew Mei.

Honestly speaking, I didn't expect tht Siew Mei would actually come! What a pleasant surprise!

Alrite, back to the cg. Like what i've mentioned earlier, we had lotta ppl with us, so it was a nite full of extra fun and excitement. After the ice-breaking session we get to know each other more and then we proceeded to the games session. It was hilariously fun~ BUT, the punishment is a lil... embarassing FOR GIRLZ, as for guys, i think it's a piece of cake for 'em cuz they alwiz do stupid stuff wahahaha~ Besides having good fun, da moz important & great thing about CG is that, we'll be able to feel the presence of God..

And when we gather & are one in heart and mind, wonderful things are gonna happen (quoted from Joleen,keke). For instance, after all of the brothers & sisters prayed for her together several times, Qiu Ling has finally found a job! Isnt that amazing? Joy, Love and Peace, we can experience all these when God is with us!

Reimy~!

Tonite's D2D was cancelled due to the lack of manpower. But the newz came juz a lil too late and Joleen had already reached my place (puchong), all da way from setapak. So, in the end, the D2D became some sort of dinner fellowship. Anywayyyyz, it wasn't really a waste trip cuz we still went to visit Reimy, juz like what we've planned earlier.

Reimy is one of the freshiez i have met during D2D last week. We bought her some sweetiez applez but i think i'm gonna get her some mineral water the next time i see her. And I think the hostel should do something abt the place where they place the water dispenser.. wahaha what the -_- Okiez, I kinda go a lil off-track..

So, I was saying, we asked her out and spent some quality time chatting with her. She's kinda bubbly and as u can see from the photo, she's good at posing (-.- ;) And most importantly, she agreed to join our cg this week! I hope she'll have a great time with us =)
